Our research in this field focuses on the design and synthesis of highly active catalysts that serve to accelerate chemical reactions in hydrogen-generating processes, thereby improving industrial efficiency and sustainability.

Here, we study biomass in various phases -- solid, liquid, and gaseous – as samples of which are obtained through thermal treatment.  The goal is to turn such products into industrially useful substances.

We strive to increase the overall efficiency and stability of fuel cells by chemically synthesizing or modifying catalyzing materials and gas diffusion layers (GDL) employed therein.

In addition to these research areas, our lab integrates the use of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) software to evaluate greenhouse gas emissions, with the ultimate goal of achieving net-zero emissions. This holistic approach ensures that our research not only leads to technological advancements but also promotes environmental sustainability. About Me.

I completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Chemical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University and served as a postdoctoral researcher at the same university (Department of Photonics, 2014-16; Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, 2017-23). I have also participated in the development of applied materials in several companies before taking my current position as a Project Assistant Professor in the Department of Greenergy at the National University of Tainan. With research interests in hydrogen energy and bioenergy, I have been studying the steam reforming of methanol and the decomposition of biomass while developing a variety of cost-efficient compounds with low carbon footprints and analyzing their effectiveness as catalyzing materials in hydrogen production processes
